Case study

Village 32: a nonprofit site the nonprofit actually owns

Raven Studios rescued the Village 32 website and rebuilt it on Astro and Cloudflare. The nonprofit now controls its own accounts, and first-load page weight dropped from 2.2 MB to 275 KB. It went live in October 2026.

The client

Village 32 is a nonprofit that runs youth and family programs. It needed a website that works for families and for the people running it, with event registration and nobody else holding the keys.

The problem

The previous setup gave the client no control. The site, the contact form, and the accounts behind them belonged to someone else, so even small changes meant asking permission. Every page was also served from the same generic shell, which is hard on search engines and slow on phones.

What we did

  • Moved it to accounts the nonprofit controls. Domain, hosting, and forms now sit with the organization.
  • Rebuilt it on Astro and Cloudflare. Real pages for each topic, shipped as lightweight static files.
  • Set it up for self-editing. An admin panel so the founder can update content herself is the next phase.
  • Added event registration for programs and community events.

Results

  • 2.2 MB to 275 KBfirst-load page weight
  • 100Lighthouse SEO score

The site went live in October 2026.

Stack
