Why we built it
I went looking for an affordable CRM, something that could help me actually run the business without costing an arm and a leg. What I found was a pile of tools that each did one piece of the job. One for contacts, one for email, one for scheduling, one for follow-up, one for invoices. None of them talked to each other, and every one of them sent a bill. My monthly statement looked like a subscription buffet, and I was still the one holding it all together.
So I built what I wished existed. One place, simple enough to open on a busy Tuesday and know exactly what needs you. No training manual, no ten tabs, no second job managing the software that was supposed to save you time.
I named it after my mom, Barbara. Everyone calls her Bobbie. In our family she is the one who gets stuff done: she remembers the birthday, makes the call, follows up when everyone else forgot. That is exactly the job I wanted this software to do.
Bobbie has already kept me more organized than any stack of apps ever did, and I credit my success to her. Both of them. ;)
